In late 2009 the lake was drained down. With the assistance of Jean-Noel the french fish farmer and joint owner of "Freedom Lakes" -
We selected and sold most of the existing carp, due to their age, and returned approximately 30 carp, and 80 - 100 pike, to the lake.
There are always fish that escape the net, but we can guarantee the following stock as at January 2010.
80 - 100 Pike
Approximately 30 Carp between 10 - 20lbs
Over 50 Carp between 20 - 26 lbs
9 Carp Between 32 - 38 lbs

Currently 1 Carp at 40lbs
1 Catfish at 60lbs (Coming in February)
For the 2010 season, the lake has become a nursery, and a high protein feeding regime has commenced. Using quality pellet, the carp are expected to grow between 10 and 25% per annum, depending on their current weight, and we expect some of the upper 30lb carp to break the 40lb barrier this year.

We have set our prices at a reasonable level for 2010, to get ourselves firmly on the map. The fish are high quality, strong fish which will give you a great deal of sport. The estate is in a fantastic tranquil setting, the fish stock is guaranteed and there is free use of the mobile home.
Our relationship with "Freedom Lakes" is ongoing, and we are sure that they will be pleased to verify our stock, and confirm the quality of our site.
